Newsflash Scenario Exercise:

The goal is to write up one page newsflash scenario about you who turn out to be 35 years old this year. Simulate you are a reporter of People Magazine who hunts for scoops (exclusive articles) featuring career success stories of ordinary people. She spots you as such a role model.

You can use the template of Table 5-9 to draft your initial story. On the top of that, however, your story should have the following components:
1. Some features on what your typical day's activities are like as shown in your personal diary at age of 35. Keep it salient and concrete!
2. Your reflections on your past history, e.g., how you have successfully connected your dots, how you have overcome the barriers and challenges or how you learned from your past mistakes.
3. Your stakeholders' (your parents, your husband, kids, customers, colleagues, and so on) special opinions or deliberations about you.
4. Some thoughts about what your next 10 year would be like.

In your stories you should reflect your mental model: your vision (dots and connecting dots), mission (purpose, Northpole seven stars), values (fences), and your unique identity differentiating you from others ; It would be great if you could even include your own triggering event stories like Quinn's father's story (Packet, Deep Change p. 68).

You can use a first person perspective (your own reflection way) if you prefer it to a third person perspective.

Due on October 27.
